Letter to a Friend

Posted on October 10, 2020October 10, 2020 by Anshuk Attri

With me you walk, whether fast or slow,

You hide my little secrets that you know,

Some of my habits you love, many you hate,

the day we met seems orchestrated by fate.

Dawning a wide smile I write these rhymes,

while in my mind, our prefect moments chime,

Whenever the people around made me cry,

you were always there to wipe my tears dry.

Someday I might wake and you will be gone,

I might act strong but my heart will be torn

That day will never come, I will pretend,

Sincerely yours, your true friend.
